So they want to containerize their OpenLDAP directory. Or at least part of it.
And "we" (ahem) enhanced an existing docker container. And (ahem) enhanced an existing HELM chart for Kubernetes. And told them it was all fine. Just go do it.
And it isn't just fine. And "we" (that one of us) didn't really understand enough about the details that "we" further confused them.

So, this part of we who knows about many or most of the details has had a crash course in Docker and Helm Charts and a massive refresher in /bin/bash and its more interesting capabilities. Thank you Docker.
All is quiet for the moment. But I'm struggling to answer the next layer of questions about how to address the true complexity of an Enterprise level OpenLDAP Directory Service. These tools are interesting but far from sufficient.
